Hub Rules
DJCenter Hub Rules
You must use the official DC++ client (v0.668+) or ODC (v5.31+).
Only share MP3's, anything else will get you kicked (such as movies, games and programs).
Sharing child porn will get you reported to your respective authorities!
- Rule #1: Respect people at all times!
- Rule #2: Share only MP3's and don't use faked shares/upload limiters (permanent ban!)
- Rule #3: You must share a minimum of 10GB of MP3's.
- Rule #4: You are encouraged to share scene releases (mp3/cue/sfv/nfo/txt/jpg covers/playlists).
- Rule #5: A minimum of 2 slots open for every hub you are connected to. And max 10 hubs!
- Rule #6: Don't advertise in the hub without permission, it will get you auto-banned.
- Rule #7: Don't disconnect people who are slowing down your internet (it's part of sharing!)
- Rule #8: If an OP asks you for a slot to inspect your share then open one or get kicked.
- Rule #9: Only English and French in Main Chat!
- Rule #10: All filenames must be in English or French.
- Rule #11: You must share what you've downloaded in this hub if you've kept the files!
- Rule #12: Only quality MP3's, no damaged files -- make sure you know you are sharing!
- Rule #13: No incomplete files (.dctmp), don't share your 'incoming'-directory!
- Rule #14: Your share MUST consist of 50% House music, the rest can be any dance music.
- Rule #15: NO HipHop/RnB/Rock&Roll/Metal and so on that has nothing to do with the club scene.
- Rule #16: We will check you at random intervals and if we find you to be breaking any of the rules you may be perm banned depending on how serious your offense was. Non-club music is a serious offense.
Don't be surprised if you are kicked and banned if you break any of these rules!

Hey everyone,
Throughout the recent financial troubles I've constantly been looking for ways to keep the hub online, and I'm happy to announce that a solution has finally been reached that will allow the hub to remain as great as it is today!
As you're probably aware, I have reached out for the community's help in the past due to ever increasing server bills. The community became too big and costly, with servers costing me personally hundreds of dollars per month to run. I never knew we would get this far, and it has been one hell of a ride!
I've received hundreds of requests from people to keep this great Hub alive. We are #1, we are the largest music community on Direct Connect, and that is something worth saving! And a solution is finally in sight.
Many people suggested that they would be happy if the Hub had a small membership fee (I mean really tiny), since that would ensure the survival of the Hub. This is the last option we have of keeping the Hub alive.
Starting on November 21st, 2008, there will be a very small subscription fee in the amount of 5 euro for each month. All users will need to subscribe and become members to have full access in the hub for downloading (non-subscribers can search but not download anything until they become subscribers). New features will also be available for all subscribers.
The subscription fee goes directly to supporting the Hub's administration and server fees and all the costs involved in operating this massive Hub.
To gain full access to the Hub, simply enter your desired Hub username (it has to be available) in the following box and hit Subscribe. You will then be taken to Paypal checkout. Please allow up to 24 Hours for processing, after which you will receive an email with your private username and password for the Hub. Keep this information secret and in a safe place.
